Thus it comes as a shock, that the issue of getting myself a new handphone, has dragged on for almost a year now.
Suddenly it has become urgent. The old lady, my 7270, has become a mouldy eyed bandit, blind, in her only eye and takes pictures, that do no justice to her master.
She has become senile as well, with reception being cut off at the weirdest of times. And especially in the reaches of my Hall grounds. To the old lady's credit, she has fought battles alongside her master faithfully and survived the numerous drops from at least 1.75 m onto the well trodden concrete floors of Zouk, St. James and T.U.P.

So the search for another oral partner begins and like real people, disparaging comments, such as the oral partner being really sucky (pardon the pun) are made about phones as well.
It can get confusing and a bit dis-heartening to hear so many sides of a simple story.
Thus, I have decided to favour myself and list what I'm looking for in my new partner.
1: Simplicity of use -> I don't want to rage, scream, curse at the phone and myself everytime I need help accesssing a certain function.
2: Camera quality -> At least 2 megapixels, for my die-hard camwhoring, to at least do some justice to myself and of course, ease of photo upload to the laptop.
3: Style -> Goes without saying, I'm the one using it.
4: Quality -> Reception in most places, clear vocal quality, long battery life.
Isn't that simple? So what fits the criteria?

Seems like a perfect match. An interface from a company that I'm used to, a glossy hazelnut metal finish on a wafer thin aluminium steel body topped with a 2 megapixel camera with bluetooth compatibility.
How about quality? Will all that is being promised materialize? Or is it simply, like the glossed over, honey sweet words in the courting stages of a relationship only to fade away and pose problems later?
Unlike people, phones can't change.
And of course, that goes for the sucking as well.
