The term break however, provided a chance for a get together with Mr Lawyer to-be and also for the submission of my belated birthday cum christmas present.
Thank you for the sweet black tie with the pink hearts. Like you said, it's corny, but hey, you always know that Aviel can pull it off. I also appreciate the honest, well thought-through, double sided card that came with the gift.
The first time we went to Ikoi was the night after the Studio Prive fashion show that Mr ARENA (then) was invited to cover. We rushed against the closing time, ordering sashimi, sushi, temaki, tempura, agedashi, shishamu and yakitori like brokers bidding for stocks.

"The result of combined ordering let to a surplus of food. We were certain the staff were betting we coudn't finish it all. Well, it wasn't any trouble for a hungry dragonboater and a 1.82m hip-hop dancer was it? :)"
The second time at Ikoi was no different with us rushing against the closing time in the afternoon (it didn't matter, we were still the last ones in the restaurant).
The food needs no praise. The sashimi was fresh and the handrolls crisp as usual. The ebi temura was fragrant and tender.

"Salmon and Swordfish sashimi, deliciously fresh, the catch of the buffet"

"California Handroll, an appetizing, crunchy meal starter"

" Jinesh's fried salad platter. See! Told you to order 3 instead of 5!"

"Pregnant fish with millions of eggs, all fried, totally delicious, completely edible body"
I realised that the only way to eat alot, is when what is being eaten, is deliciously well prepared.
Judging from the islands of Japanese food that we poured into our empty(since last night) stomachs, Ikoi certaintly did more than a good job :)
Have a good trip to Shinjuku and see you soon!
