Star Sightings

Saw two stars in two days. Was I wowed?

The first sighting was at Bugis Junction, Wednesday, at 1600hrs. There was a crowd enclosing a large empty space just ahead of Ajisen Ramem(where I had delicious pork noodles dripping with fat). Two aunties were in the middle of the space.

Lo and behold, Zoe Tay. Well she did look her age but her acting was natural and there was a surreal quality about her. A woman at peace. I watched her at work not unlike how one would observe a polar bear prowling in its tank.

Thursday, I stepped out of tuckshop (yes, the serving of the steak sandwich is now bigger) and was shocked to the right by the spotlight shoved in my face. I was staring incredulouly at camera staff and an ugly director blocking the scene behind. I hurried out of the spotlight onto the road where I caught the spectable of Kym Ng and some unknown artises in a makeshift queue at the other end of Play, just outside Tuckshop. Well, that was the brightest, shortest, most packed queue I had ever seen, with all the damsels clad in shades of aqua, emerald and fuschia. I wasn't too impressed though, when they stopped the car I was in for 3 minutes while they tried to shoot the scene.

And yes, how could I forget the PERFECT chocolate martini that Roy concocted for me, chocolate shavings (finally!), rich chocolate liquer and chocolate kisses. The perfect washdown for the succulent portobello steak sandwich.

Undoubtedly, the real stars for my tastebuds.
